Gradient nails! Used ‘Charged up Cherry’ by OPI and ‘Fear or Desire’ by Essie along with a top coat to finish. First paint your nails with the lighter colour (in this case, orange) and wait for it to dry completely. Then paint a line of the darker colour (in this case, the hot pink) on the sponge and then a line of the orange, making sure they touch slightly. You need to be really quick as the polishes will dry on the sponge of you’re too slow. Lightly dab your nail making sure the dark colour is near the tip and the orange is being dabbed where there is orange. It may look grainy and slightly unblended at first but wait for it to dry a bit before finishing it with a top coat and it will smooth out and blend. Use a QTip and nail polish remover to remove the mess on your fingers. It will help to wet the sponge A LITTLE bit before applying the polish—it will blend together a but nicer. This trick works with a variety of colours but I chose orange and pink for now… ;) let me know if you have questions or comments! (Taken with instagram)

starting over, spreading my wings and fly away

I’ve never been the type to write (or in this case, type) my feelings out. But some recent events in my life have forced me to step back and evaluate how I’ve been living my life. I’m the type of person who believes in the universe sending you signs to guide you in life. Whether it’s to warn you of a bad decision you are about to make, or whether something good is about to happen, or if you have a good thing and you should hold onto it.

The most signs I receive are whether a guy I’m dating is right for me. I classify myself as a person of multi-faiths. I believe in various Gods and believe that there is a plan for everyone, and that every obstacle we’re faced with is meant to make us strong and to guide us to a place where we’ll be happier. Though sometimes we ignore the signs that the universe sends us without even knowing it.

I’m finding that I’m wishing I could start a clean slate, and re-write my life story. I’ve been trying to hold onto a reality that won’t be mine. I’m trying to accept the fact that there is good in goodbye and that in the end, everything will work out the way it’s supposed to. I don’t know what the future holds for me, but I know that I’ll try and have as much faith as possible in the outcome.

E.L.F. shimmer sheets from Sephora, for you to add some shimmer and glow to your look, I heard they can be used on hair, cheekbones and chest to add a glow. They come in three different sheets, so if you’re looking for more of a blush, you can go with pink or maybe a nude for hair.. Yay or nay? I think it’s worth a try…
